Telangana CEO Issues SIR Notices to Electors with Enumeration Anomalies

HYDERABAD — The Telangana Chief Electoral Office has commenced issuing SIR notices to electors across the state who have anomalies in their enumeration forms or who could not be mapped to the SIR 2002 list, ahead of the publication of the final electoral roll.

According to official data, the state has a total of 3,38,26,448 electors, out of which 2,64,87,213 submitted enumeration forms. The election authorities identified 60,50,918 electors with anomalies in their submissions, while 32,36,659 electors lacked mapping with the SIR 2002 list. Additionally, 73,39,235 electors have been categorized under the Absent, Shifted, Dead, and Double (ASDD) votes list.

Electors across Telangana have the opportunity to raise claims and objections regarding the draft electoral roll until September 16. Following the submission window, the notice phase and the disposal of claims and objections will continue through October 15.

The final electoral roll for the state is scheduled to be officially published on October 19.
