Telangana Canoe Sprint Team Wins Multiple Medals at National Championship in Bhopal

The Telangana state canoe sprint team delivered an impressive performance at the Canoe Sprint National Championship held in Bhopal, winning a series of medals across both canoe and kayak disciplines. Competing at the national level, the state squad produced strong finishes in multiple categories across the 1,000m and 5,000m events.

The state's paddlers achieved significant success in the 1,000m competitions. In the 1,000m canoe double, P. Jaswika and K. Anusha secured the gold medal. Telangana picked up another gold medal in the 1,000m canoe four event, where K. Bindu, P. Jaswika, R. Rekha, and K. Anusha finished at the top.

In individual performances in the 1,000m distance, N. Bindu claimed a silver medal for Telangana in the canoe single event. In the kayak single 1,000m race, M. Chandan secured a bronze medal to add to the state team's overall medal count.

The medal haul extended to additional canoe and kayak categories at the championship. K. Anusha picked up a silver medal in the canoe single competition, while M. Bindu and P. Jaswika won the canoe double. In the kayak four competition, the team composed of M. Chandan, Sravanthi, Avanthika, and Sindhu earned a silver medal for Telangana.

Following the successful outing in Bhopal, the Sports Authority of Telangana officially congratulated the state squad for its performance. The sports governing body praised the athletes and acknowledged the essential contribution of the support staff to the team's achievements at the national championship.
