Telangana BJP Leaders Mark 80th Independence Day at Nampally Headquarters

Telangana State BJP president N Ramchander Rao, Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar, and Rajya Sabha MP Dr K Laxman led the Independence Day celebrations at the Telangana BJP state headquarters in Nampally, Hyderabad, on Saturday. Senior party leaders, functionaries, and workers assembled at the headquarters to mark the national occasion.

The gathering at the Nampally state headquarters was held to commemorate India's 80th Independence Day and honour the nation's historic journey since achieving freedom in 1947. As part of the ceremonial proceedings, Telangana BJP president N Ramchander Rao hoisted the national flag at the state party office in the presence of Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar, MP Dr K Laxman, and other attending party leaders.

During the programme, the gathered leaders and party workers paid homage to the country's freedom struggle and acknowledged the sacrifices made by freedom fighters who contributed to India's independence movement. The participants took the opportunity to reflect on eight decades of the nation's progress and the contributions of those who fought for the country's liberty.

The celebrations at the Nampally office formed an integral component of the broader Independence Day events organised by the BJP throughout Telangana. Party workers and leaders from various wings joined in the proceedings at the state headquarters, aligning with nationwide observances commemorating 80 years of Indian independence.

Beyond the party headquarters, Independence Day was marked extensively across Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana. Flag-hoisting ceremonies and patriotic events were organised by various government bodies, political parties, educational institutions, and civil society organisations. Leaders across different sectors unfurled the Tricolour at multiple locations and extended their Independence Day greetings to the public, as citizens participated in programmes held to celebrate the national milestone.
