Telangana BJP Chief Ramchander Rao Placed Under House Arrest in Hyderabad

Telangana BJP president N Ramchander Rao was placed under house arrest in Hyderabad on Tuesday, preventing him from travelling to Nalgonda to visit the party's district president Nagam Varshit Reddy.

According to the state BJP unit, Rao had planned to travel to Nalgonda after Varshit Reddy's residence was reportedly ransacked and his family members, including his mother, were allegedly assaulted by Congress workers on Monday evening following a clash between cadres of the two parties.

In a statement shared on X, the BJP condemned the state administration's decision, claiming that the Congress government chose to restrict Rao's movements rather than taking strict action against those responsible for the attack in Nalgonda.

The party stated that Rao was scheduled to visit the district to stand in solidarity with the attacked family and assess the situation following the violent confrontation.
