Telangana Baseball Association Demands 2% Quota in Jobs and Education

HYDERABAD — The Baseball Association of Telangana has formally requested the state government to grant a 2 per cent quota in government jobs and educational institutions for baseball players.

A delegation led by the association's general secretary, Shweta, along with senior baseball players, met with Minister Ponnam Prabhakar in Hyderabad to submit a representation regarding their demand.

During the meeting, the delegation urged the government to officially recognise baseball players under the state sports quota and extend reservation benefits to them in government recruitment processes and educational opportunities.

According to representatives of the association, extending reservation support to baseball players would help encourage greater participation in the sport at both the state and national levels.
