Telangana Athlete N Pravallika Wins Gold At Asian Under 23 Athletics Championships

Telangana athlete N Pravallika, a student of the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TGSWREIS) in Hyderabad, helped the Indian women’s 4 x 400m relay team win a historic gold medal at the Asian Under-23 Athletics Championships in China.

The Indian relay team, consisting of Shravani Sangle, Sandra Mol Sabu, Pravallika, and Nofisa, secured the gold medal with a dominant performance. The quartet clocked a winning time of 3:33.62s to finish at the top of the podium.

The race saw a highly competitive field, but India managed to establish control early on. Sandra Mol Sabu delivered a brilliant performance in the second leg of the relay, which gave the Indian team a decisive lead over their competitors. Pravallika and Nofisa then ran strong subsequent legs to bring home the memorable victory for the country.

The host nation, China, finished behind India to settle for the silver medal, while Kazakhstan took home the bronze medal.

Pravallika’s achievement has brought significant recognition to her educational institution, TGSWREIS. Following the victory, several key leaders from the society congratulated her on the achievement.

TGSWREIS chairman Dr Rama Laxman, president Narsaiah, and general secretary Chander were among those who offered their congratulations to Pravallika for her outstanding performance on the international stage.
