Telangana Approves Ticket Price Hikes for Ram Charan Film Peddi in Nizam

The Telangana government has officially approved special ticket prices and rate hikes for the upcoming Ram Charan-starrer Peddi across the Nizam region, ahead of its theatrical release on June 4, 2026. The government order, issued on June 2, 2026, cleared the way for theaters to open advanced bookings and schedule additional daily screenings.
Under the newly approved guidelines, theaters are permitted to screen a special premiere show on June 3, 2026, with tickets priced at ₹600, inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST).
Following the official release on June 4, single-screen theaters are authorized to increase ticket prices by ₹100, while multiplexes can implement a hike of ₹125. These enhanced rates will remain active for ten days post-release. Additionally, the government has permitted theaters to run up to five daily shows of the film.
The decision brings major relief to the film's distributors, Mythri Movie Makers, who secured the distribution rights for the Nizam region for ₹63 Crore. The pricing approval was highly anticipated, as the acquisition value faced a potential 10 to 15 percent cut if the government had not cleared the price hikes.
Prior to the official announcement, the film's release faced a crucial wait in Telangana. Bookings were expected to open only after 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM once the ticket hike government order was officially issued. If the order had remained pending, the producers were prepared to proceed with normal ticket prices under a pre-agreed Non-Refundable Advance.
The approval also follows a period of legal uncertainty. The film's team had previously suffered a setback when the High Court declined to intervene in their ticket pricing request. The team eventually withdrew its petition after receiving no favorable response from the Home Secretary despite submitting two representations.
Unlike this current release, Mythri Movie Makers had recently chosen not to seek a price hike for another of their films, Ustaad Bhagat Singh. With the government order now officially in place, the distributors are moving forward with advanced bookings for the film.
