Telangana Approves Ticket Price Hike for Yash-Starrer Toxic

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has officially granted permission for an increase in cinema ticket prices for the upcoming film Toxic, starring Yash, ahead of its theatrical release on August 26.

Under the government order, the enhanced admission rates will remain applicable for a duration of 10 days starting from the date of the film's release across theatres in Telangana.

As per the approved structure, single-screen cinema halls throughout the state are permitted to levy an additional charge of Rs 50 per ticket, inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST). Multiplexes and special category theatres have been authorised to charge an extra Rs 100 per ticket, also inclusive of GST.

The state government order further stipulated that the production banner, KVN-Monster Mind Creations LLP, must make a mandatory contribution of Rs 1 crore to the Telugu Film Industry Employees' Welfare Committee account, managed by the Telangana Film Development Corporation (FDC).

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is produced under the banners of KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. The film features an ensemble cast alongside Yash, including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, and Huma Qureshi.

To ensure proper implementation of the revised tariff and conditions, the government directed District Collectors, Commissioners of Police, licensing authorities, and other relevant officials to oversee enforcement and ensure full compliance by theatre managements across the state.
