Telangana and Mauritius Ministers Discuss Partnerships in IT, Skills and Administration

Mauritius Minister for Public Service and Administrative Reforms Luchmanen Pethia met Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat in Hyderabad on Saturday.

The meeting focused on identifying avenues to enhance bilateral cooperation between Telangana and Mauritius. Key sectors discussed during the interaction included public administration, tourism, information technology and IT-enabled services (ITeS), emerging technologies, skill development, and education.

During the discussions, Pethia stated that Mauritius considers Telangana to be a trusted partner. He expressed the island nation's interest in collaborating on modern administrative practices and capacity building. Pethia formally sought Telangana's support to train government employees from Mauritius and enhance their administrative capabilities through structured knowledge-sharing programmes.

The visiting minister also expressed his government's keenness to collaborate directly with educational and training bodies in Telangana, including the Dr. MCR Human Resource Development Institute (MCRHRD), the Young India Skills University, and other skill-development institutions based in the state.

Sridhar Babu conveyed that Telangana is ready to extend its support and cooperation to Mauritius across all discussed sectors. He highlighted that the State government values international partnerships and knowledge exchange, especially in domains where Telangana has developed notable expertise and infrastructure.

Additionally, Sridhar Babu extended an invitation to Pethia to participate in the upcoming Telangana Rising Global Summit 2026, which is scheduled to be organised by the State government on December 7 and 8.
