Telangana Allots Five Acres of Land for Kendriya Vidyalaya in Jagtial

The Telangana government has sanctioned and ordered the alienation of five acres of land in Chelgal village, Jagtial, free of cost, for the establishment of a new Kendriya Vidyalaya school. The official order was issued by Lokesh Kumar D.S., Secretary to the Government, marking a major step forward for the local educational infrastructure.

The land selected for the school is currently under the possession of WALAMTARI. The Chief Commissioner of Land Administration reported that the Jagtial District Collector had submitted the regular proposals to alienate this government land in favor of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sanghatan (KVS).

Initially, a total of 10 acres of land had been requested for the establishment of the school. The government has sanctioned five acres out of this request. The prevailing market value of the land in the area is estimated at Rs 1.05 crore per acre, while the basic market value is Rs 21 lakh per acre. Despite the high value, the government authorized the transfer free of cost under the civil sector.

The proposal went through a formal review process before approval. The Telangana Land Management Authority met to resolve and recommend the alienation of the land based on the District Collector’s proposal. Following this recommendation and a careful examination of the matter, the state government issued the final orders. The Chief Commissioner of Land Administration and the Jagtial District Collector have been instructed to execute the decision.

Responding to the development, BJP MP Dharmapuri Arvind congratulated the people of Jagtial. In a post on 'X', Arvind described the sanction as a victory for the BJP's "rightful fight" to ensure the school is established in Chelgal. He described the location as convenient, well-connected, and highly suited for students, contrasting it with alternative locations suggested by the local MLA.

Arvind also emphasized that the party's goals are only half achieved. He stated that the BJP would continue to fight for the allotment of the remaining five acres of land to ensure the children of Jagtial receive the best facilities.
