Telangana Allocates Rs 20 Crore as Ashada Masam Bonalu Begins in Twin Cities

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy extended his warm greetings and best wishes to devotees across the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad on the occasion of the Ashada Masam Bonalu festival, which officially began on Thursday. The Telangana state government has made extensive arrangements and sanctioned a dedicated budget of Rs 20 crore to ensure the smooth conduct of the celebrations.
The traditional festival is scheduled to be celebrated across more than 3,000 temples located within the Greater Hyderabad limits. These celebrations will span across multiple districts, including Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, and Medchal-Malkajgiri, bringing communities together for the annual event.
In his message to the public, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy highlighted the deep cultural roots of the festival. He stated that the Bonalu festival reflects the rich culture and traditions of the state, serving as a prominent symbol of the lifestyle and social unity of the people of Hyderabad.
The Chief Minister further noted that the festival represents a grand spiritual and cultural milestone for residents living across the entire Hyderabad region. The government's elaborate preparations are aimed at facilitating these grand celebrations for the thousands of devotees participating in the rituals.
Highlighting the social harmony of the region, Chief Minister Reddy remarked that the Bonalu celebrations in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad stand as a shining example of Telangana’s Ganga-Jamuna Tehzeeb. He emphasized that the festival beautifully embodies the spirit of secularism and represents the composite culture of the state.
With the state government sanctioning Rs 20 crore for this year's Bonalu celebrations, local authorities have worked to put all necessary arrangements in place. The funding has been distributed to support the various temples and ensure that the traditional events are conducted with grandeur and respect.
