Teja Sajja's Mirai Enters Top 10 Indian Films for Day-1 Advance Bookings in Japan

Actor Teja Sajja's upcoming Telugu feature film Mirai has entered the Top 10 Indian films in Japan for Day-1 advance bookings ahead of its theatrical release.

The film has registered strong pre-release traction in the Japanese market, joining an elite group of prominent Telugu titles that have previously established a footprint in Japan. Other major Telugu releases on the list include RRR, Baahubali 2, Pushpa 2, Devar, and Salaar.

According to advance booking figures, Mirai has surpassed Dhurandhar 2 in the current rankings and is closing in on the numbers set by Salman Khan's Hindi film Tiger Zinda Hai. With two days remaining before the booking window concludes, the film is poised to climb higher on the charts.

The project features a storyline rooted in fantasy and Indian mythology, backed by large-scale visual effects. The distinct genre and visual presentation have contributed to early ticket sales among Japanese audiences.

Mirai marks an expansion of Teja Sajja's international market following the release of his earlier film HanuMan. While HanuMan grossed Rs 1 crore during its theatrical run in Japan, Mirai has witnessed significantly higher advance bookings and initial audience traction even before hitting cinema screens in the country.
