Team Kaal Netra Wins AGENTX 2026 AI Hackathon at Vasavi College of Engineering

Team Kaal Netra emerged as the overall winner of AGENTX 2026, a 24-hour national-level artificial intelligence hackathon held at Vasavi College of Engineering in Hyderabad. The winning team was awarded the top prize of Rs 25,000 for developing multi-agent AI solutions aimed at addressing campus needs.

Organised by the HackerRank Campus Crew at Vasavi College of Engineering, the competition brought together 40 teams, with each team consisting of two to four members from multiple colleges. The event was conducted under the guidance of Faculty Coordinators K Lohitha Reddy and V Krishna Mohan.

Participants included students from diverse academic streams, such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and Cyber Security.

During the 24-hour hackathon, competing teams were tasked with designing a Smart Campus Multi-Agent AI System. The problem statement asked participants to create systems capable of autonomous planning, multi-agent collaboration, retrieval-augmented generation, tool calling, memory, and workflow orchestration to address complex campus requirements beyond traditional chatbot capabilities.
