Teachers Urged to Promote Telangana's Five PM eVidya Channels to Students

HYDERABAD — Teachers across Telangana must actively encourage students to utilize the state's five PM eVidya digital education channels on a regular basis, Bodanapally Venugopal Reddy, chief executive officer of T-SAT and SoFTNET, urged on Tuesday during a four-day training programme on digital content creation in Hyderabad.
Speaking at the event, Venugopal Reddy emphasized that educators bear a responsibility that extends beyond simply producing educational material. He noted that teachers must take deliberate steps to ensure that students actually watch the broadcasts and benefit from the lessons provided through these dedicated platforms.
Venugopal Reddy highlighted the state administration's commitment to the sector, stating that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has placed special focus on education by increasing budget allocations and actively backing digital learning initiatives across schools.
Detailing the scope of the broadcasts, Prof. Abhay Kumar, in-charge of the PM eVidya Digital Channels, stated that the five allotted channels are designed to cover the curriculum requirements of primary, secondary, and higher education levels.
Rajesh Patel, director of SATCOM in Gujarat, addressed the gathering and noted that Telangana received five of the total 200 educational broadcast channels made available nationwide by the central government.
Around 100 teachers from across the state are participating in the four-day workshop. The curriculum includes technical training in video production, intellectual property and copyright, the ethical use of artificial intelligence, script recording, presentation techniques, and digital evaluation methods.
