T-Hub Partners With Indian Army's Central Command to Support Defence Startups

Hyderabad-based startup incubator T-Hub has partnered with the Indian Army's Central Command to provide defence startups with direct access to field-level military challenges and deployment opportunities, the organisation announced on Tuesday.

The collaboration will enable startup founders to work on active problem statements issued by the Army, build technologies tailored to operational requirements, and validate their solutions directly with military end users. A joint oversight committee will monitor the execution of the programme and coordinate engagements between selected startups and Army stakeholders.

The agreement expands T-Hub's existing partnership with the Army's Western Command, making it one of a limited number of organisations with direct relationships at the military Command level.

T-Hub is also one of 28 organisations implementing the Ministry of Defence's Innovations for Defence Excellence (iDEX) scheme and functions as the country's largest iDEX incubator.

According to T-Hub, the incubator has engaged more than 100 defence startups, hosted over 70 iDEX challenges, and actively works with more than 70 defence startups. These companies have secured commercial defence orders valued at over ₹250 crore, alongside grants exceeding ₹4.2 crore and proof-of-concept projects worth ₹9 crore.
