T-Hub Partners with Indian Army Central Command to Deploy Defence Startups

Hyderabad-based innovation hub T-Hub has entered into a partnership with the Central Command of the Indian Army to create a direct deployment pathway for defence startups to address active military challenges.

The collaboration will connect startup founders directly with Army stakeholders to develop, validate, and operationalise technologies, supporting the broader modernisation of India's defence capabilities.

Under the framework of the agreement, T-Hub will receive active problem statements directly from the Indian Army's Central Command. The incubator will identify and select relevant startups capable of addressing these specific military requirements.

A joint oversight committee will be established to supervise programme execution and facilitate regular engagements between the startups and Army leadership. T-Hub will support the selected founders through product development, validation, operational feedback integration, and deployment readiness to ensure the solutions meet field standards.

The agreement expands upon T-Hub’s existing relationship with the Western Command of the Indian Army, positioning the Hyderabad incubator as one of the select few organisations nationwide with standing, direct partnerships at the Command level.

T-Hub is also one of 28 organisations selected to implement the Ministry of Defence-led Innovations for Defence Excellence (iDEX) scheme. It currently functions as the largest iDEX incubator in India, having engaged 100 defence startups and hosted 70 challenges under the initiative.
