Suspected Drug Offender Rams Car Into Police Team in Abids, Three Injured

Three police personnel were injured on Sunday after a suspected drug offender allegedly rammed his car into a police team during a narcotics operation on Tilak Road in Abids, Hyderabad. The suspect was later apprehended in Afzalgunj following a pursuit.

Police identified the suspect as Saif, a resident of Hussaini Alam. According to officials, Saif drove his vehicle into the police personnel while attempting to flee the scene during the operation, which was specifically targeting suspected drug-related activities.

Three officers sustained injuries in the attack. Constable Mahender Yadav suffered a leg fracture, while Afzalgunj Inspector Srikanth and Constable Vamsidhar suffered minor injuries.

Despite the attack, police personnel chased the suspect and nabbed him at Afzalgunj, where he was formally taken into custody.

Cases of attempt to murder have been registered against Saif at both the Abid Road and Afzalgunj police stations. Police officials stated that further investigation is underway to ascertain the suspect's involvement in narcotics offences and the exact circumstances leading to the incident.
