Suryapet Youth Naresh Develops Electric Bicycle with 100-km Range

A youth from Suryapet district in Telangana has designed and developed an electric bicycle that can cover a distance of up to 100 kilometres on a single charge.

The innovator, identified as Naresh, stated that the bicycle requires a charging time of four hours to achieve the full 100-kilometre range. According to him, the vehicle was specifically engineered to meet the daily commuting needs of students, women, and farmers.

Naresh stated that the bicycle incorporates several innovative features aimed at making regular operation convenient and practical for users across different demographics. The design focuses on delivering a functional and affordable transport solution for rural and semi-urban riders.

The innovation has already garnered attention outside the state. Naresh noted that he recently received a commercial order from Rajasthan, and the manufactured electric bicycles are currently being dispatched to buyers there.

Following the successful development and initial supply of the vehicle, Naresh appealed to the government to extend support and encouragement to grassroots innovators who are working on accessible, useful, and affordable technological solutions.
