Suryapet police deny transfer of Kodad Sub-Inspector over Deputy CM convoy diversion

On Friday, the Suryapet police officially dismissed reports circulating on social media regarding the transfer of Kodad Rural Sub-Inspector (SI) Gopal in Kodad, Suryapet district. The rumors had claimed that the Sub-Inspector was transferred from his post following a convoy diversion incident involving Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka.

Senior police officials clarified that the reports of the transfer are completely false. The department dismissed the claims and confirmed that Sub-Inspector Gopal has not been transferred, debunking the false information that was being shared online.

The rumors began after a route deviation occurred during the travel of the Deputy Chief Minister through the district. The convoy of Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka was scheduled to take a left turn from Kodad to proceed towards Mudigonda. However, the convoy did not take the turn and instead went straight, deviating from the scheduled route.

After going straight, the convoy had to return to Kodad. Once back at the intersection, the convoy took the left turn and proceeded towards Mudigonda as originally planned. The brief deviation led to speculation on social media that the Kodad Rural Sub-Inspector was being held responsible and had been transferred.

Suryapet police senior officials stepped in on Friday to deny these rumors. They clarified that no transfer had taken place and dismissed the social media reports as false, confirming that Sub-Inspector Gopal continues in his current posting.
