Sridhar Babu inaugurates CIRO Pharma cancer drug plant in Karakapatla

A new state-of-the-art pharmaceutical manufacturing plant dedicated to producing cancer medicines and soft gels has been inaugurated at Biotech Park-3 in Karakapatla, located in the Siddipet district of Telangana. IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu formally inaugurated the facility, which represents a significant addition to the state's industrial landscape.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by key state cabinet members, including Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha and Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, who joined Sridhar Babu to mark the official opening of the facility.

Built by oncology medicine producer CIRO Pharma, the facility is designed to manufacture cancer drugs and soft gels. The plant operates in compliance with the strict standards established by several global pharmaceutical regulatory bodies, ensuring that the products meet international quality benchmarks.

The cancer medicines manufactured at this Karakapatla facility are slated for global distribution. The primary export destinations for these pharmaceuticals will include the United States, Europe, Latin America, and various Gulf countries, positioning the Siddipet-based plant as an exporter to major global healthcare markets.

In terms of employment and local economic impact, the CIRO Pharma facility currently employs a team of 275 personnel. This workforce, which includes both general staff and specialized scientists, is expected to double in size once the plant transitions into its full-scale production operations.

The launch of this facility aligns with Telangana's standing as India's pharma capital, further expanding the state's capacity for high-end pharmaceutical manufacturing and research at the Biotech Park-3 site.
