Skyroot Founders Meet PM Modi to Discuss Vikram-1 Mission Success

Pawan Chandana and Naga Bharath Daka, co-founders of Hyderabad-based private aerospace startup Skyroot Aerospace, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday to brief him on the company's journey and the successful mission of its launch vehicle, Vikram-1.
During the interaction in Hyderabad, the co-founders shared details of the Vikram-1 mission and outlined their long-term vision for expanding India's footprint in the global space sector.
According to the company, Prime Minister Modi discussed Skyroot's technology roadmap, future opportunities, and the potential of India's private space ecosystem. The Prime Minister encouraged young entrepreneurs during the meeting and expressed confidence in the country's growing innovation landscape while highlighting the role of IN-SPACe and ISRO in boosting private space ventures.
Skyroot Aerospace credited policy reforms that opened up the space sector to private players, along with support from IN-SPACe and collaboration with ISRO, for enabling startups to develop and launch advanced space technologies. The company reiterated its ambition to take India's space capabilities to the global stage, stating that its journey has only just begun.
