Skyroot Aerospace Signs Multi-Launch Pact With HEX20 for Vikram Missions

Hyderabad-based launch provider Skyroot Aerospace announced on Monday that it has signed a multi-launch agreement with Kerala-headquartered space technology firm HEX20 for three dedicated Vikram-series missions beginning in the fourth quarter of 2027.

The agreement represents Skyroot's first deal following the success of Mission Aagaman. The upcoming launches are designated to support HEX20’s Earth-observation constellation and in-orbit payload demonstration missions, alongside offering rideshare capacity for third-party spacecraft.

The agreement was formally signed by Naga Bharath Daka, co-founder and chief operating officer of Skyroot, and MB Aravind, co-founder and chief operating officer of HEX20.

This deal follows Skyroot’s July 18, 2026 launch of Vikram-1, which was India’s first privately developed orbital-class rocket to successfully reach orbit on its maiden mission. According to Skyroot, that flight gave flight heritage to all major subsystems and reinforces its roadmap to scale operations to as many as 12 missions annually.

Daka noted that the Vikram series is designed to deliver reliable and responsive access to space for commercial entities expanding satellite and Earth-observation capabilities. HEX20 Chief Executive Officer Amal Chandran stated that the partnership unites complementary capabilities across the mission lifecycle, establishing stronger pathways to orbit for domestic and international customers.

Skyroot develops small-satellite launch vehicles utilizing in-house propulsion, composite structures, and rapid manufacturing systems across its campuses in Hyderabad.
