Six Killed and 11 Injured as Bus Hits Container Truck Near Dorakunta in Suryapet

Six people were killed and 11 others sustained severe injuries in the early hours of Wednesday after a private travel bus collided with a stationary container DCM on the outskirts of Dorakunta in Kodad mandal, Suryapet district.
The private bus was travelling from Hyderabad to Eluru in Andhra Pradesh with a total of 42 passengers on board when the crash took place. The victims who lost their lives include five women and one man. According to preliminary information, four of the injured passengers are in critical condition.
The force of the impact was so severe that the front portion of the bus was completely mangled, leaving several passengers trapped inside the vehicle. Upon being alerted about the accident, police teams promptly reached the location and carried out rescue operations. The injured individuals were extricated from the wreckage and shifted to nearby hospitals for medical attention.
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed deep condolences to the families of those who died in the road accident. He directed the Chief Secretary to ensure that the injured passengers receive the best possible medical treatment and instructed authorities to closely monitor their condition.
The police have registered a case in connection with the incident and launched an investigation to establish the exact cause of the accident. Further details regarding the matter are awaited.
