Sister Ties Rakhi to RTC Driver Brother en Route to Hyderabad

A sister met her brother, Raju, an RTC bus driver, near Renigunta in Timmapur mandal of Karimnagar district to tie a Rakhi to him while he was actively on duty driving a bus bound for Hyderabad.

The brother was operating an RTC passenger service travelling on the route from Godavarikhani to Hyderabad when the brief celebration took place along his journey.

The gesture occurred on the occasion of Rakhi Pournami, also known as Raksha Bandhan. The festival is traditionally celebrated on the full moon day, or Purnima, of the Hindu month of Shravana to mark and honour the bond between brothers and sisters and the significance of family relationships.

A video documenting the sister tying the sacred thread to her brother during his working hours on the road has circulated widely, highlighting the emotional moment between the siblings despite the driver's duty schedule.
