Singer Javed Ali to Perform at Quake Arena in Gachibowli on August 22

Playback singer Javed Ali is scheduled to perform live at Quake Arena in Gachibowli on August 22, bringing a diverse repertoire of hits to Hyderabad music lovers. The concert will feature a mix of his well-known Telugu tracks, romantic melodies, retro selections, and songs he has never previously performed before a Hyderabad audience.
Ali, known for popular tracks such as Jashn-E-Bahaaraa, Tum Tak, Kun Faya Kun, Srivalli, and Saudebazi, shared his excitement about returning to the city. He noted his fondness for Hyderabad and its local food, particularly Hyderabadi biryani, while planning a performance designed to showcase multiple musical styles.
The upcoming show follows an extensive international tour that began in March, during which Ali travelled across the United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada. Among his tour milestones was a sold-out three-and-a-half-hour concert at the Sydney Opera House, where he performed "Vande Mataram" for the first time and structured his set with smooth transitions between songs to keep the music flowing continuously.
Reflecting on his approach to live shows, Ali explained that he treats every performance with complete dedication, aiming to create an engaging and nostalgic atmosphere for the crowd. He noted that while studio sessions allow multiple takes to achieve the desired result, live concerts require delivering the performance in a single take on stage.
In addition to discussing his live performances, Ali detailed his recording process, highlighting the importance of connecting with the lyrics, tune, and emotional core of every composition. He recently took on a complex classical piece, "O Ri O Sanwariya" in Bhoot Bangla, which required intricate classical techniques such as taan and palta, and expressed an ongoing desire to explore varied genres and vocal modulations across his career.
