Sigma Advanced Systems Secures ₹1,600 Crore Contract From Rolls-Royce

Aerospace and defence components manufacturer Sigma Advanced Systems has secured a major long-term contract valued at nearly £125 million (around ₹1,600 crore) from Rolls-Royce, the company announced in Hyderabad.

The contract was awarded through Sigma’s United Kingdom subsidiary, Bromford Precision Solutions. This new deal builds on an earlier long-term agreement worth approximately £300 million (about ₹3,800 crore) that the company had previously secured with Rolls-Royce.

According to Sigma, the expanded partnership broadens the group’s overall product portfolio, manufacturing capabilities, and content across critical aerospace programmes. Together, the two major agreements are set to significantly enhance Sigma’s position within the Rolls-Royce supply chain in the UK, while also providing substantial long-term revenue visibility for the enterprise.

The company noted that its acquisition of Bromford Precision Solutions has brought highly complementary manufacturing expertise, particularly in the production of aero engine rings, casings, and advanced precision components. These enhanced capabilities allow the firm to supply an extensive range of complex engine parts.

Under the terms of the newly secured agreement, Bromford will manufacture various critical engine structures across Sigma’s manufacturing facilities located in both India and the United Kingdom. This operational setup is designed to establish a comprehensive dual-source supply solution as directed by Rolls-Royce.

Commenting on the development, Sunil Kalidindi, Chief Executive Officer of Sigma Advanced Systems, highlighted the shifting focus of international aerospace original equipment manufacturers.

“Global OEMs like Rolls-Royce are increasingly looking to India not just for cost advantage, but for engineering depth, quality and scale,” Kalidindi said regarding the partnership.
