Sharath Chandra Maroju Elected Hyderabad Management Association President

Entrepreneur and innovator Sharath Chandra Maroju has been elected as the president of the Hyderabad Management Association (HMA) for the term spanning July 2026 to June 2027. The announcement of his election was made in Hyderabad, signaling a new leadership phase for the professional body.

Mr. Maroju currently serves as the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Syndic Engineers, a Hyderabad-based firm that focuses on energy and sustainable environment solutions. The association stated that he brings more than two decades of leadership experience across the sectors of engineering, sustainability, and enterprise to his new role as president.

An active innovator in the sustainability sector, Mr. Maroju has filed a patent for a sustainable solution that generates green hydrogen from pharmaceutical wastewater. His involvement in education and governance includes serving on the Board of Governors of the Board of Technical Education, an institution established by the government of Telangana.

Over his career, Mr. Maroju has held several significant leadership roles both nationally and internationally. His professional background includes tenures at Kirloskar Oil Engines, Thermax, Mitsubishi in the United Kingdom, and Flexible Mobility in Singapore and Malaysia.

Following his election, Mr. Maroju outlined his strategic objectives for the association over the coming year. He emphasized a commitment to strengthening the organization's regional impact and modernizing its operations.

"My agenda for the year ahead rests renewing the association’s foundations, reimagining how we engage our members and the wider community, and to rise as a centre of management excellence for the city and the region," Mr. Maroju said.
