Shadnagar police and NCB arrest BTech graduate with 241 grams of MDMA in Bengaluru

On Sunday, a joint law enforcement operation involving the Shadnagar police, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), and the Eagle Force team led to the arrest of a 24-year-old drug peddler and the seizure of 241 grams of MDMA. The raid took place at the residence of the accused, PV Rahul, located in the Dommasandra area of Bengaluru.

During the search of Rahul's residence in Dommasandra, the joint team initially discovered and seized 25 grams of MDMA. Following his arrest, Rahul confessed to his involvement in the drug trade. Based on the information provided during his confession, the Eagle Force sleuths were able to locate several designated 'dead drop points' where the contraband was hidden. The officers recovered an additional 216 grams of MDMA from these locations in Bengaluru, bringing the total seized quantity to 241 grams.

According to the Eagle Force sleuths, Rahul is a BTech graduate who completed his engineering degree in 2024. After graduating, he worked at a local car showroom in Bengaluru for a period of four months. It was during his time working at the car showroom that he met Arshlan, who was known to be a drug consumer. Through his acquaintance with Arshlan, Rahul began consuming drugs himself.

Arshlan subsequently introduced Rahul to a Nigerian drug supplier identified as Michael Johnson, also known by his alias 'Honour'. Police officials stated that Johnson was deported from India three months ago. However, he continues to actively manage and operate his drug supply network within Bengaluru by taking orders and coordinating transactions directly from Nigeria.

The investigation revealed that Rahul had been purchasing MDMA from Johnson since 2024. He bought the synthetic drug at a rate of Rs 1,100 per gram and subsequently resold it to buyers for Rs 2,000 per gram, securing a profit margin. The arrest has disrupted the local supply chain linked to the overseas operator.
