Shabad Murder Victim Family Awaits Government Action, Confirmation on Raj Kumar's Death

The family of a minor girl who was a victim in the Shabad murders continues to face immense grief while waiting for the government to fulfill their demands, a relative of the victim stated on Monday, 13 July 2026. Speaking from Shabad in Hyderabad, the family member also noted that they have not received any official confirmation regarding reports of the death of the accused, Raj Kumar.
According to the relative, the family is still struggling to cope with the tragedy that claimed the lives of their loved ones. They have placed specific demands before the government, which are currently being reviewed by the District Collector. The family stated that they cannot find any relief until these demands are met.
"We are still suffering every day because of our loss. Nothing can bring them back," the family member said. "We have placed certain demands before the government, and the District Collector is looking into them. Until those demands are fulfilled, we cannot find any relief."
The relative expressed disappointment over the time it has taken for the government to respond to the tragedy, pointing out that action should have been taken much earlier. However, they expressed some satisfaction that authorities have finally taken a step in the matter.
"It has already been delayed," the relative said. "However, at least now, the authorities have taken a step in this matter, and that gives us some satisfaction. Even though it is late, there is some clarity on the issue now."
Regarding the reports surrounding the death of Raj Kumar, the accused in the case, the family clarified that they have not received any official communication from government authorities. Instead, they learned of the reports through unofficial sources.
"We came to know about it through others, not from the authorities," the relative said. "If the reports are true, not only our family but the entire country would react to it."
The family member added that many people believe a person accused of committing such a heinous crime should not be allowed to remain in society.
