Shabad family blames police negligence for triple murder in Hyderabad

Relatives of the victims in the Shabad triple murder case in Hyderabad have accused the local police of negligence, claiming that a failure to act on prior complaints and arrest the suspect led to the brutal killings. The allegations were made during protests by family members and local residents demanding accountability and action against the concerned police officials.

Speaking to the media during a protest, a relative of a Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act victim revealed that the family had filed multiple complaints against the suspect, Rajkumar, nearly a month before the murders took place. Despite these filings, the family alleged that the police took no action to arrest or question him.

"We had already filed a case seeking his arrest, but there was absolutely no response," the relative alleged. "It has been one month since the complaint was lodged. About 15 days ago, the victim’s uncle also met the police and informed them that the suspect was roaming freely despite the case. Even then, no action was taken."

The family has held the local police station responsible for the tragedy, asserting that the lives of the three family members could have been saved if the authorities had acted in a timely manner. They criticized the police's handling of the case, pointing out that repeated appeals for protection and intervention were ignored.

"This entire incident happened because of police negligence," the relative said. "They neither arrested him, nor questioned him. Had they acted on our complaint, three members of the victim’s family would not have lost their lives."

The protests in Shabad continue as the victims' families and local residents seek accountability for the alleged failure of the police to prevent the crime despite receiving prior warnings and complaints. The protesters are demanding action against the police officials concerned.
