Senior Journalist M V Subramanyam Passes Away in Malkajgiri at 65

Senior journalist M V Subramanyam passed away at his residence in Malkajgiri on Monday, June 15, 2026, following a massive heart attack. He was 65 years old.
According to his family members, Subramanyam suffered an initial stroke at his home and was immediately rushed to a hospital. While undergoing treatment at the medical facility, he suffered a second massive stroke and breathed his last. He is survived by his daughter.
Subramanyam was a widely respected figure in regional media, recognized for his professional commitment and dedication. He worked with the English daily newspaper The Hindu for more than 25 years, covering news across both Hyderabad and Kadapa districts. Throughout his career, he was known as an affable person and earned deep respect for his impartial reporting.
In addition to his long tenure at The Hindu, Subramanyam also had a professional stint with Newstime, an English daily newspaper launched by the Eenadu group in the 1980s. His passing marks the loss of a veteran journalist who dedicated decades to high-quality reporting in the region.
