Security Guard Working in Gachibowli Dies After Fall From Banjara Hills Building

A 22-year-old security guard who worked at a company in Gachibowli died in the early hours of Sunday, 28 June 2026, after falling from the seventh floor of a residential building in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.

The deceased, identified as Upender Singh, was a resident of Banjara Hills and a native of Haryana. Singh worked as a security guard for a company located in Gachibowli. He had returned home to Banjara Hills after finishing his work shift on Saturday night, shortly before the fatal incident took place.

Following his return, Singh was found dead on the ground outside the building. The watchman of the residential building discovered the body and immediately informed Singh's wife that her husband had fallen from the seventh floor of the building and passed away.

The local police were notified of the incident and initiated an inquiry. Preliminary findings from the police suggest that Singh may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time. Investigators suspect that he slipped and fell from the terrace of the building.

The police have officially registered a case concerning the security guard's death. A full investigation into the matter is currently underway to determine the exact circumstances that led to the fall.
