Secunderabad Cantonment Board completes 100% distribution of electoral forms

On Monday, July 13, 2026, the Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) completed 100 percent of the enumeration form distribution to households in the Secunderabad Cantonment as part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. SCB Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Arvind Kumar Dwivedi announced the milestone during an all-party meeting held at the office of the Cantonment Election Returning Officer to review the progress of the exercise.

According to the CEO, the cantonment has approximately 2.45 lakh to 2.48 lakh electors on its rolls. Along with the completion of form distribution, the board has successfully digitized around 18 percent of the collected voter data as of July 13.

The board is currently in the stage of collecting the distributed forms and simultaneously digitizing the data. During the distribution process, forms belonging to electors who had died or shifted residences were identified and removed from the active collection process, in line with the revision guidelines.

Representatives of major political parties attended the Monday meeting to discuss issues related to the Special Intensive Revision. Dwivedi noted that the SCB explained challenges from its side, resolved the concerns raised by the political parties, and requested their cooperation to ensure the smooth completion of the exercise.

Secunderabad Cantonment MLA Sri Ganesh, who was present at the meeting, stated that party representatives highlighted field-level difficulties faced by voters during the SIR exercise. He urged officials to ensure the revision process remains transparent, accessible, and fair.

Additionally, MLA Sri Ganesh requested the immediate release of pending dues to Booth Level Officers (BLOs) engaged in election-related duties in the cantonment, emphasizing that they should receive their payments without further delay.
