SCR Organises School Competitions Ahead of Hitec City Amrit Station Inauguration

The South Central Railway (SCR) organised a series of academic and creative school competitions for students in Hyderabad ahead of the upcoming inauguration of the refurbished Hitec City Amrit Station. The competitive events were designed to promote youth engagement and foster greater awareness among school children regarding developed railway stations and overall national progress.

A total of 292 students from Classes 8 to 10 participated in the initiatives, representing six different schools. The competitions gave the young participants an opportunity to express their perspectives on infrastructure development and civic duties.

The participating students were asked to write, draw, or paint based on two specific themes. The first topic was “How will a developed railway station in my city look like?”, which encouraged the students to envision modern public transport systems. The second topic was “What will I do to help build a developed India?”, which focused on individual contributions to the country's growth.

The students competed across three distinct categories: essay writing, drawing, and painting. According to the South Central Railway, three winners will be selected in each of these competitions from each of the participating schools.

A total of 36 students have been selected to receive prizes for their work. These student winners will be presented with their awards during the official inaugural programme of the refurbished Hitec City Amrit Station, which is scheduled to take place this Friday. The ceremony will highlight the creative efforts of the local students alongside the launch of the upgraded railway station.
