Scattered Rain Hits Secunderabad, Malkajgiri and Other Hyderabad Areas on Sunday

Several areas across Hyderabad, including Secunderabad, Begumpet, and Malkajgiri, experienced scattered rainfall on Sunday as a bright and sunny afternoon gave way to overcast skies and evening showers.

Rainfall commenced in multiple localities after noon. Intermittent showers were initially reported across parts of AS Rao Nagar, Nacharam, Mallapur, Tarnaka, Secunderabad, and Begumpet. While the initial spell of rain was not heavy, precipitation continued across different parts of the city throughout the later part of the day.

The intensity of the showers increased after 6 p.m., bringing rainfall to additional areas including Kukatpally and Madhapur.

According to data recorded by the Telangana Development Planning Society as of 7 p.m., Malkajgiri and Mettuguda registered the highest rainfall among monitored areas, each recording 13.5 mm.

Other localities across the city and surrounding areas also logged measurable precipitation. Keesara recorded 6.3 mm of rainfall, while Chintal, Kompally, and Alwal each recorded 5.3 mm. In Gajularamam, rainfall reached 5 mm, and Allwyn Colony registered 4.8 mm.
