Satwalekar and Vignesh Reddy Hit Centuries for Sporting XI in Hyderabad

Centuries by Yash Satwalekar and A. Vignesh Reddy put Sporting XI in a dominant position against Deccan Wanderers on the opening day of the A-Division two-day league cricket championship in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

Sporting XI accumulated a massive total of 424 for the loss of five wickets in 86 overs by the close of play on the first day, largely powered by the two top-order centuries.

Yash Satwalekar struck 138 runs off 178 deliveries, hitting 12 boundaries and clearing the ropes four times. At the other end, A. Vignesh Reddy produced an aggressive knock of 140 runs from 133 balls, smashing 15 fours and seven sixes to put Deccan Wanderers on the back foot.

Following the foundation laid by the two centurions, Tanay Thyagarajann contributed 41 runs to the total. Shaik Sohail remained unbeaten on 49 when play concluded for the day, keeping Sporting XI in control heading into the second day of the two-day fixture.
