Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Vijay Deverakonda Plan Extended Arjun Reddy Cut for 10th Anniversary

Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga and actor Vijay Deverakonda are planning to re-release their 2017 Telugu hit film Arjun Reddy with an extended version to mark the movie's 10th anniversary.

The Animal director revealed that he and Deverakonda are actively working on plans to rework the film and bring an extended cut back to the big screen. The original film, which served as Vanga's directorial debut and marked a pivotal turning point in Deverakonda's career, became a major box-office success and garnered a cult following following its 2017 release.

According to Vanga, the timeline for the project depends on scheduling. Deverakonda requires only two to three days to complete dubbing for the newly added portions of the film. However, the director noted that he himself needs 15 to 20 days to sit and edit the material to finalize the cut.

Vanga stated that he is currently unable to allocate the required 15 to 20 days due to his busy schedule and ongoing project commitments. As a result, the extended anniversary cut remains in the planning phase until the necessary post-production time can be scheduled.

Arjun Reddy was later remade in Hindi as Kabir Singh, which was also directed by Vanga and achieved significant commercial success. If completed in time, the proposed extended cut will mark a reunion for the director and lead actor to commemorate a decade since the release of their breakthrough film.
