Salman Yusuff Khan Launches Podcast Beyond The Spotlight in Hyderabad

Actor and choreographer Salman Yusuff Khan has launched his new podcast, titled Beyond The Spotlight, during a visit to Hyderabad. The project, which Khan had been conceptualising for nearly two years, marks his debut as a podcast host and features former minister K.T. Rama Rao as the inaugural guest on the show.
Speaking about choosing Hyderabad as the launch destination, Khan shared that the city offered an accessible and welcoming space where his project fell into place organically. He highlighted his affection for the city and its people, stating that the local support encouraged him to initiate the podcast series here.
Reflecting on his career trajectory, the Dance India Dance season 1 winner credited industry veterans Remo D’Souza and Prabhu Deva with teaching him to remain humble and eager to learn throughout his professional life. Describing his approach to choreography in films such as ABCD: Any Body Can Dance and Lakshmi, Khan explained that his creative process centers on repeatedly listening to music and lyrics to capture the essence of a song before choreographing.
Khan also spoke about the behind-the-scenes realities of dance reality shows, drawing from his 16 years of experience as a performer, choreographer, judge, creative director, and producer. He noted that winning a competition trophy often leaves contestants with uncertainty about how to sustain momentum, emphasizing that long-term success requires consistency and dedication beyond the television screen.
Addressing a recent bone injury and past personal challenges, Khan stated that setbacks have served as essential life lessons. He expressed his belief that experiences should be viewed as opportunities to learn rather than losses, noting that overcoming difficulties builds long-term wisdom.
Looking ahead, Khan revealed plans to expand into producing, directing, and acting in vertical dramas. His upcoming projects also include managing his eyewear brand, Vuezen Eyewear, operating a digital marketing agency, and reviewing a film script for his next acting role.
