Rs 52 Crore Musi River Bridge at Moosarambagh Set to Open Soon

A new 400-metre bridge constructed across the Musi River at Moosarambagh in Hyderabad is nearing completion and will be opened to commuters once remaining works are completed, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner RV Karnan said.

Built at an estimated cost of Rs 52 crore, the 14.5-metre-wide bridge is designed to improve traffic connectivity between Amberpet and Moosarambagh. According to a press release, the new infrastructure is expected to reduce travel time and ease congestion on existing routes.

GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan inspected the ongoing works alongside senior GHMC engineering officials on Saturday. During the inspection, he directed officials to complete all pending works on priority to enable a safe and smooth opening for commuters.

Karnan instructed the engineering team to ensure that road approaches, safety measures, lighting, pedestrian facilities, and other finishing works strictly meet the required standards before the inauguration.

The bridge also features 3.5-metre-wide footpaths designed to facilitate safe and convenient movement for pedestrians crossing between the two localities.
