Rivaaj Couture Founder Shivani Parekh Launches Gul Festive Collection in Hyderabad

Hyderabad-based fashion label Rivaaj Couture has launched its latest bridal and festive wear collection, 'Gul'. Created by label founder Shivani Parekh, the new collection is designed to blend traditional Indian craftsmanship with contemporary silhouettes, aiming to appeal to a younger generation of fashion consumers.
The 'Gul' collection features a range of garments, including flowing anarkalis, layered lehenga sets, structured jackets, kurta-palazzo ensembles, and contemporary festive separates. According to Parekh, the collection explores femininity through fluid silhouettes, rich textures, and meticulous handwork, evoking a sense of romance and celebrating artisanal excellence.
The garments in the collection are crafted using luxurious textiles such as modal satin, organza, mulmul, and delicate net to achieve an effortless sense of grace and movement. The color palette features romantic and regal shades, including burnt orange, blush pink, ivory, deep maroon, lavender, sage green, and antique gold. Each piece is detailed with intricate hand embroidery, including zardozi, pearls, zari, resham, sequins, and mirror work.
Parekh founded Rivaaj Couture after her experience with Saancha, which showed her the emotion and craftsmanship woven into garments. She envisioned a label that could merge traditional techniques with modern designs. During the early days of building the label, Parekh faced challenges such as establishing a dependable network of skilled karigars, maintaining uncompromising quality, and balancing creative expression with the realities of running a business.
According to Parekh, Hyderabad has embraced the label warmly. She noted that the city's fashion scene is evolving confidently, with clients becoming more experimental while remaining connected to their cultural roots. Parekh described the local market's approach to luxury as understated, with clients gravitating toward refinement and elegance rather than overt opulence.
Looking ahead, Rivaaj Couture plans to expand its bridal and festive offerings. The label is exploring new directions within couture, working with innovative textiles, and developing even more intricate handcrafted detailing. Parekh also plans to collaborate with artisans to create collections that celebrate traditional Indian craftsmanship through a contemporary lens.
