Revanth Reddy Urges Hyderabad Residents to Support Musi Rejuvenation Project

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday appealed to Hyderabad residents to cooperate with the State government in executing the Musi Rejuvenation project amid ongoing objections over the proposed takeover of properties.

Speaking at the Independence Day celebrations in Hyderabad, the Chief Minister assured affected residents that the government would provide full assistance and cover any losses suffered during the execution of the project.

Revanth Reddy stated that rejuvenating the Musi river was essential to transforming Hyderabad into a global city and warned that without the project, the city would become less liveable. He urged the public to support the initiative to ensure sustainable urban development.

During his address, the Chief Minister also highlighted Telangana's broader economic progress, stating that the government had built strong confidence among national and international investors. He noted that Telangana emerged as a Top Achiever in the Business Reforms Action Plan across sectors including business entry, construction permit enablers, the service sector, and land administration.

According to Revanth Reddy, the State secured investments worth Rs 1.29 lakh crore through TG-iPASS, creating over 78,000 employment opportunities. Additionally, memoranda of understanding valued at Rs 5.75 lakh crore were signed during the Telangana Rising Global Summit-2025, an event that will be held again this year.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the development of Bharat Future City across 30,000 acres at Maheswaram as the country’s first net-zero smart city. He thanked the people of Ibrahimpatnam and Maheswaram who parted with their lands for the project, promising them comprehensive support and the best compensation.

Addressing government employees, Revanth Reddy acknowledged their vital role in delivering welfare schemes, expanding public services, and generating State revenue. He stated that the government had already released Rs 6,000 crore within 100 days to address pending bills and assured that the remaining dues would be cleared in a phased manner.
