Revanth Reddy Unveils Telangana Rising 2047 Vision Document at Parade Grounds

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy unveiled the "Telangana Rising 2047" vision document at the Parade Grounds in Hyderabad on Tuesday, declaring an ambitious plan to establish the state as a major global hub and gateway to the world. Speaking during the Formation Day celebrations, Reddy outlined a roadmap to transform Telangana into a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047.

Reddy described the vision document as the first master plan of its kind for an entire state. The plan places agriculture and farmers at its core while categorizing development across three distinct sectors: the core urban region economy (CURE), peri urban region economy (PURE), and rural agriculture region economy (RARE).

During the event, the Chief Minister presented a department-wise report card of the Congress government's 30-month tenure. He noted that the government will officially complete two-and-a-half years in office on June 7, during which it has focused on fulfilling the aspirations of farmers, youth, and women.

He added that Telangana has become a role model in welfare schemes, taking various policy decisions and implementing action plans to support the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Backward Classes (BC), minorities, and economically weaker sections of the upper castes.

Addressing agricultural progress, Reddy highlighted that the state government spent Rs 1.56 lakh crore on agriculture and farmer welfare over the past two-and-a-half years. He urged farmers to diversify their crop production, noting that existing incentives had already boosted food grain output to a record 2.36 crore metric tonnes in 2025-26.

Reddy also announced key infrastructure plans, including the revival of the Pranahita-Chevella project and the construction of a barrage at Tummidihatti. He promised that the government would complete pending irrigation projects to secure Telangana's rightful share of river waters.

Due to an ongoing heatwave, the state government advanced the start of the celebrations from 10:00 am to 8:30 am on the Chief Minister's directions. Consequently, Reddy kept his address brief.
