Revanth Reddy to Visit Mulugu on August 16 to Launch Welfare Schemes and Road Projects

The Mulugu district administration has intensified preparations ahead of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy's scheduled visit to Medaram and Mulugu on August 16. During the visit, the Chief Minister is set to offer special prayers to tribal deities Sammakka and Saralamma, launch a statewide pension scheme for widows and single women, and inaugurate several infrastructure projects.

Rural Development Minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka, alongside Mulugu District Collector Borkade Sahadevrao and Superintendent of Police Sudhir Ramnath Kekan, inspected ongoing development works near Gattamma. The inspection covered the site of a project pylon as well as the new integrated district offices complex. Minister Seethakka instructed officials to accelerate the pylon construction to meet the deadline without compromising on quality standards.

According to the tour schedule, Revanth Reddy will arrive in Medaram on the afternoon of August 16 to offer prayers at the Sammakka-Saralamma shrine. Following the darshan, he will formally launch the distribution of pensions to eligible widows and single women across the state. Seethakka stated that applications received up to August 31 will be thoroughly scrutinised to select eligible beneficiaries in accordance with existing government rules.

After concluding the programme in Medaram, the Chief Minister will travel to the Mulugu district headquarters. There, he will unveil a development pylon marking the launch of Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) road projects. The projects, taken up by the Panchayat Raj department across three phases at an estimated cost of approximately Rs 16,000 crore, are designed to boost connectivity in rural habitations and strengthen local transport infrastructure.

During his stop at the district headquarters, Revanth Reddy will also unveil a statue of Telangana Thalli located at the new collectorate premises. He will then formally inaugurate the newly constructed integrated district offices complex and address a public gathering organised on the collectorate grounds.
