Revanth Reddy to Launch Indiramma Housing Towers at KPHB Colony

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will lay the foundation stone on Thursday for the construction of Indiramma Housing Towers at KPHB Colony in Hyderabad. The Chief Minister will perform the bhoomi puja at the site where 480 flats are proposed, launching the state government's plan to provide affordable homes to low- and middle-income families across the city.

The project at KPHB Colony is part of a larger plan targeting the construction of one lakh Indiramma houses in Hyderabad. Under a pilot project comprising 12,000 flats in the Core Urban Region (CURE), the state government has accorded administrative sanction of Rs 807.40 crore for the first phase, which will cover 7,340 flats across 18 locations in 16 Assembly constituencies.

Each unit in the Indiramma Housing Towers will feature a carpet area of 400 square feet and a built-up area of 528 square feet. The state government will provide a subsidy of Rs 5 lakh per flat, while the beneficiary will contribute Rs 6 lakh. Families with an annual income of up to Rs 6 lakh are eligible, provided they do not own a house, plot, or flat within CURE limits. Only one flat will be allotted per family, and applicants must apply for a project in the Assembly constituency where they reside.

Applications can be submitted without certificates through MeeSeva centres, the MeeSeva website, or via the MeeSeva WhatsApp service at 8096958096. Applicants must pay an application fee of Rs 100 and a token advance of Rs 10,000, which will be refunded if no flat is allotted or adjusted against the contribution if selected. The deadline to submit applications is August 15, 2026, after which allotments will be determined through a lottery system following eligibility verification.

The government has set specific reservations for the allotments: 14 per cent for SCs, 5 per cent for STs, 16 per cent for BCs, and 5 per cent for persons with disabilities. Additionally, 10 per cent is reserved for government employees, outsourcing staff, Class-IV employees, and sanitation workers, while the remaining 50 per cent falls under the general category. Across all categories, 30 per cent of flats are reserved for women.

Beneficiaries will pay their contribution in structured stages: Rs 1 lakh upon provisional allotment, Rs 2 lakh after the completion of the RCC structure, Rs 2 lakh during the finishing stage, and the remaining balance at handover.

In addition to KPHB Colony, the first phase of Indiramma Housing Towers will be constructed at Kowkoor in Malkajgiri, Raidurg in Serilingampally, Jalpally in Maheshwaram, Red Hills and the Niloufer site in Nampally, Patigadda in Sanathnagar, Gaddiannaram in Malakpet, Bandlaguda in Ibrahimpatnam, Pocharam in Medchal, Mylardevpally in Rajendranagar, Gajularamaram in Quthbullapur, Hakeempet Dargah in Khairatabad, Jubilee Hills, City Police Lines in Amberpet, Bowenpally in Secunderabad Cantonment, and Kulsumpura Police Quarters in Karwan.
