Revanth Reddy Orders Fast-Track Land Acquisition for Musi Project

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy directed officials to expedite the land acquisition process for the Musi Rejuvenation project during a review meeting held at the MCRHRD Bodhi Pavilion in Hyderabad.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister enquired about the status of land acquisition for the initiative and emphasized the need to formulate a clear policy for land pooling. He instructed that the policy should specifically focus on acquiring lands falling under Full Tank Level (FTL), buffer zones, and assigned land categories. He further cautioned the administration to ensure that all legal complications are carefully avoided throughout the acquisition process.

Officials were also instructed to initiate the process to invite tenders for Phase 2 of the Musi Rejuvenation Project at the earliest. To finance the works, the Chief Minister suggested that Municipal Commissioners focus on securing low-interest loans. He also directed them to conduct weekly reviews of Transferable Development Rights (TDRs).

Additionally, the meeting covered developments concerning related regional sites. Discussions included inviting tenders for the Manchirevula Omkareshwara Swamy Temple and increasing publicity and outreach for the Kothwalguda Bird Park.

The review session was attended by several top officials and district administrators, including CM Secretary Manik Raj, HMDA Commissioner Sarfaraz Ahmed, GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan, Malkajgiri Municipal Commissioner Vinay Krishna Reddy, Cyberabad Commissioner Srujana, Ranga Reddy District Collector Narayana Reddy, Medchal Collector Manu Chowdary, Musi Riverfront Development Corporation Limited (MRDCL) Managing Director E.V. Narasimha Reddy, and MRDCL Joint Managing Director Gautami.
