Revanth Reddy Congratulates Skyroot Aerospace on Successful Vikram-1 Rocket Launch

On Saturday, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy congratulated Hyderabad-based space-tech startup Skyroot Aerospace following the successful test flight of its Vikram-1 orbital-class launch vehicle. Developed entirely with indigenous technology, India's first privately built orbital rocket lifted off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota as part of the "Mission Aagaman" launch campaign.
The Chief Minister described the success of Vikram-1's Test Flight-1 as a historic milestone for India's space sector and a moment of immense pride for Telangana. He commended the Hyderabad firm for demonstrating the nation's growing technological capabilities and spirit of innovation in space exploration.
The milestone follows a visit by Reddy to the Skyroot Aerospace facility in Hyderabad in April this year. During that visit, the Chief Minister had flagged off the transportation of the Vikram-1 flight hardware to the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota ahead of the launch campaign.
In a post on the social media platform X, Reddy shared his pride in the achievement. "Reaching for the skies… it is a proud day for India, and even greater pride for Hyderabad," he wrote. He added that Telangana is where India's space dreams take shape, and praised Hyderabad's innovation ecosystem for continuing to lead the nation into the future.
According to the Chief Minister, the successful test launch marks a defining milestone in Telangana's journey toward becoming a global hub for aerospace and space technology. He noted that the achievement reinforces the state's position as India's premier destination for aerospace innovation, advanced manufacturing, and next-generation space technologies.
Reddy expressed confidence that such milestones will significantly advance Telangana's vision of emerging as a globally recognized leader in the aerospace sector. He added that the achievement would also inspire a new generation of innovators and entrepreneurs within the state.
