Revanth Reddy Assures Resolution for Lands Wrongly Listed Under 22-A in Kukatpally

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has assured landowners in Kukatpally, Hyderabad, that properties wrongly classified under the 22-A prohibited category will be cleared for registration.

Speaking at a public meeting in Kukatpally on Thursday, the Chief Minister acknowledged that entire survey numbers had been placed under the 22-A prohibited list, causing widespread confusion and concern among property owners. He stated that the state government would intervene to rectify the issue and allow eligible parcels to proceed with registration.

Revanth Reddy explained that in several instances, if a 500-acre survey number contained a small portion affected by court orders or government ownership, the entire survey number was being blocked under 22-A. He said the administration would separate those specific portions—such as two or three acres under dispute—and permit the registration of the remaining legitimate lands and houses.

Giving his assurance to the public, the Chief Minister stated that not an inch of land would be lost and that instructions would be issued to officials to facilitate the registration process for eligible property owners.

Addressing the public gathering, the Chief Minister also defended his administration's governance and welfare programmes, urging citizens to evaluate the Congress government's performance against the previous administration. He dismissed opposing social media campaigns and noted that key water sources, including the Yellampally project, remained full to secure Hyderabad's drinking water needs.
