Revanth Reddy announces new industrial park for women and Hitec City land for FLO

On Saturday, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy announced that the state government plans to develop a new industrial park for women entrepreneurs on the outskirts of Hyderabad, building on the success of the existing FLO Industrial Park in Patancheru.
Speaking to a delegation from the FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO), the Chief Minister also announced the allotment of 1,000 square yards of land adjacent to Shilparamam in Hitec City for the construction of the FLO headquarters. Additionally, the government will allocate one acre of land in Bharat Future City to make the organisation a partner in the state's flagship project.
To support women's self-help groups (SHGs), the government is constructing Indira Mahila Shakti Bhavans in 22 district headquarters. These upcoming centres will feature corporate-level infrastructure to serve as hubs for training, marketing, and business promotion. The government has also laid foundation stones for 8,000 Indira Stree Shakti Bhavans across the state.
Chief Minister Reddy stated that the government is working to enable SHG products to be marketed globally through Amazon. He suggested that FLO institute annual awards to recognise outstanding women SHGs.
He highlighted the ongoing success of the Indira Mahila Shakti Bazaar near Shilparamam, where the government allotted land valued at nearly ₹1,000 crore. The bazaar currently features more than 150 shops run by women SHGs selling rural handicrafts and traditional products.
To facilitate continuous business growth, the Chief Minister promised to hold review meetings with women entrepreneurs once every three months to understand their requirements.
According to the Chief Minister, nearly 67 lakh women are associated with SHGs in Telangana, and loans worth ₹16,000 crore have already been extended to them. Under the Indira Mahila Shakti programme, the state has set a target of generating 1,000 MW of solar power under the ownership and management of women SHGs.
Furthermore, the maintenance of 27,000 government schools has been entrusted to these groups, along with the task of stitching two pairs of uniforms for 27.5 lakh government school students.
