Retired Commercial Taxes Employee Babu Dies By Suicide At Abid Road

A 62-year-old retired Commercial Taxes Department employee died by suicide on Friday, July 17, 2026, after jumping from the seventh floor of the Mayur Kushal Complex on Abid Road in Hyderabad. The deceased was identified as Babu, a resident of Dabeerpura.

According to the available information, the incident occurred around noon on Friday. Babu had come to the multi-storeyed commercial building earlier in the day. It remains unclear to the investigators whether he had visited the complex to attend to some work or if he had come with the specific intention of ending his life.

Babu had retired from his service in the Commercial Taxes Department approximately three years ago.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the Abid Road police rushed to the spot to begin their enquiries. The police have launched an investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances and the reasons behind the incident.
