Retired Army Employee Killed in Hydershah Kote Hit-and-Run Crash

A retired Army employee was killed on the spot and two other individuals suffered serious injuries after a speeding Mahindra SUV rammed into them at Hydershah Kote in Gandipet on Sunday night. The hit-and-run crash took place near SMP School, prompting the Narsingi Police to register a case and initiate an investigation.

The victim, a retired Army employee, was walking along the road when the speeding Mahindra SUV 350 allegedly struck him. The severe impact of the collision reportedly threw him into the air, resulting in fatal injuries that caused him to die instantly at the scene.

Following the initial collision with the pedestrian, the speeding car also hit two people who were travelling on a bike-taxi. Both individuals sustained severe injuries during the crash, with one of the victims reportedly suffering a leg fracture. Both injured victims were subsequently shifted to a private hospital to receive medical treatment.

Eyewitnesses present at the location stated that four young men were travelling in the Mahindra SUV at the time of the incident. Immediately after the crash took place, the occupants abandoned the damaged car directly at the accident spot and fled the scene to evade authorities.

Witnesses further reported that the vehicle was being operated at a very high speed just before the crash occurred, causing panic among other road users in the area. Eyewitnesses also suspected that the young men inside the car might have been under the influence of alcohol, though police officials noted that this claim is yet to be officially confirmed.

The Narsingi Police quickly reached the accident site upon being alerted. Officers successfully traced the abandoned vehicle using its registration number, determining that the SUV was registered in Shamshabad.

Law enforcement officials have registered a case and are investigating the hit-and-run incident to identify and nab the four responsible individuals. Police are currently examining whether drunk driving or overspeeding caused the fatal accident.
